History of the OC Bikefest
Chase Michael started the OC Bikefest in 2010 as an extension of the Delmarva Bike Week. The Ocean City bike rally was immediately popular, attracting thousands of attendees. Organizers have added events and additional days to the festival over time to accommodate the rising attendance numbers. In 2015, the Bikefest had its first motorcycle parade through Ocean City. In 2021, the Ocean City motorcycle rally received approval from the Ocean City City Council to have events over four days.
OC Bikefest 2022 featured a top line-up, including the Zac Brown Band and Travis Tritt. The Bikefest was planned alongside Delmarva Bike Week 2022, allowing attendees to participate in both festivals.
The Ocean City Bike Week 2023 also had events over five days between September 13 and September 17. The first four days of OC Bike Week 2023 featured concerts and other events at four different venues, while the fifth day was held at a convention center with motorcycle vendors. The OC Bikefest 2023 lineup included Joan Jett and Billy Idol.
The OC Bikefest 2023 was scheduled for the same time as Delmarva Bike Week 2023, and attendees of both events participated in a swap meet. The event draws between 150,000 and 175,000 visitors on average, making it one of the largest motorcycle events in MD and in the country.
